Plyfoam I® Swing Doors

Cooler Door Specifications:

Supply where indicated on plans Jamison Plyfoam® Track Cooler Door.

Door panel to be constructed of #26 gauge white pre-painted stucco embossed steel pans front and back with reinforcement for hardware attachment. Frame metal clad on all exposed surfaces with #26 gauge white pre-painted stucco embossed steel.

All metal cladding to be applied in accordance with M.I.D., USDA regulations.

Door to be filled with 4″ of Jamifoam non-CFC polyurethane insulation with an R value of 28 at 40° F.

Gasket at sides and head of door lip to be grease resistant synthetic skin with resilient sponge core, sill gasket to be sweep type.

Hardware to have protective coating against corrosion and to consist of adjustable spring hinges and safety release type fastener (permits door to be opened from inside even though padlocked on front). (Note: For door sizes over 5’0″ wide, specify – door to be equipped with safety release device.) Track port opening shall be closed with rubber flaps that will permit passage of trolley rollers and gambrels. Flaps to be field notched around track by installing contractor.

Freezer Door Specifications:

Freezer door specifications to be same as cooler door except for these substitutions and additions:

Supply where indicated on plans Jamison Plyfoam® Track Freezer Door.

All metal cladding on warm side of door (front unless otherwise specified) and frame shall be applied with all seams and penetrating bolts sealed.

Provide Frostop heater cables in the sides, head, and sill of the frame at gasket contact areas. Complete device to be assembled, ready for connection to 120 volt, 60 Hertz, single phase AC line.

Special Notes:
  1. When cold room temperature is below -20° F. or temperature difference is more than 90° F., contact factory.
  2. If freezer door must be mounted in freezer room, please contact factory for recommendations.

Cooler Door Specifications

Supply where indicated on plans Jamison Mark IV® Manual Single Leaf Horizontal Sliding Cooler Door, with Diamond-Trac® System*.

Door leaf to have aluminum extruded structure and to be metal clad with #26 gauge white pre-painted stucco embossed steel front and back.

Frame (casings and header) to be constructed of aircraft quality aluminum extrusions with white painted finish.

Door leaf to be filled with 4″ of Jamifoam non-CFC polyurethane insulation with an R value of 28 at 40°F. Frame to be insulated with polystyrene inserts.

Adjustable gasket at sides and head of frame to be polyester reinforced; sill gasket on door to be sweep type.

Hardware to have protective coating against corrosion.

Freezer Door Specifications

Freezer door specifications to be same as cooler door except for these substitutions and additions:

Special Notes:
  1. Freezer Door is designed for installation in warm room with temperatures above +33°F. If door must be mounted in rooms with temperatures of +32°F. and below, contact factory.
  2. When cold room temperature is below -20°F. and /or the relative humidity is greater than 80% on the warm side, Frostop heater cables should be added to the frame/gasket assembly.
  3. If the cold room temperature is below -40°F., or if the temperature difference exceeds 90°F., contact factory.

Model 3CAV Triple Conditioned Air Vestibule

The Model 3CAV is primarily used between rooms with extreme temperature differences and very high traffic.

The frost elimination cycle is similar to the Model DCAV but the additional vestibule improves efficiency as well as increases the model’s temperature range applicability.

The Model 3CAV automatically adjusts as conditions change to optimize performance and reduce energy consumption.

With the use of HCR sensors and software, Model 3CAV can be integrated into a facility’s refrigeration control and monitoring system.  This allows both remote monitoring and remote adjusting of the HCR equipment.

Triple Conditioned Air Curtain Vestibule, Freezer to Ambient Specifications:

Supply where indicated on plans HCR Model 3CAV Air Vestibule for doorways between Freezers and Coolers or ambient.

Air Door to be powder coated cold-rolled steel. Powder coating meets 500 hour salt spray test.

NEMA 1 Power/control panel complete. Model 3CAV equipment cabinet houses the centrifugal fan and prewired electrical components. Service door(s) are provided, if required, to allow access to all internal components. Motor is controlled by VFD (Variable Frequency Drive). Single point electrical power connection in most cases.

Model 3CAV to have six side plenums: three with discharge nozzle, the other three with an intake.

Discharge nozzle is easily adjustable to maximize air block. Air volume adjustment mechanisms are easily accessible without removing any covers or secondary openings.

Unit can be mounted on either side of wall. Depending on temperature differential insulation cladding may be required.

Air Door assembly is structurally self-supporting. All hardware has protective coating against corrosion.

Air Door power to be 208, 240, or 480 volt AC, 60 Hertz, 3 phase. Visible signal light to show when motor is not running. Complete door assembly to be ready for connection to power. (Architect to designate responsibility for field wiring.)

Freezer Door Specifications:

Supply where indicated on plans HCR Model 3CAV for freezer doorways with temperature differentials greater than 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Provide insulation cladding as may be required for the specific application.

Air Doors forming Model 3CAV can be mounted either on the warm side or the cold side of the wall or split mounted.

Electric resistive heat or waste heat reclaim as required.
